This site is run from the Netherlands by TO. Here’s what happens to your information when you visit.
Just reading
Just like every website, our website receives (some) basic technical details when you load a page: your IP address, the type of browser and device you’re using, and which pages you looked at. Our hosting company, Bluehost, keeps these in its server logs. We don’t use this to identify you.
The contact form
If you write to us through the form, we get your name, your email address and your message. We use them to answer you with the questions and advice that you give, and for nothing else. You are not added to any mailing list.
Comments
If you leave a comment, we store your name, email address, the comment itself and your IP address. A spam filter called Akismet reads comments to catch junk.
Cookies
We use cookies for two things. The first one is basic site behaviour, such as remembering that you closed a notice, or keeping you signed in if you have an account. The second one is advertising: if we show ads, Google AdSense and its partners use cookies to choose ads and to measure whether they have worked. You can switch cookies off in your browser, and the site will still work.
Ads
If ads appear here, they come from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use your earlier visits to this and other sites to choose which ads to show you. You can turn off personalised ads at google.com/settings/ads, or manage your choices for individual advertising companies at youronlinechoices.eu. We don’t use pop-ups, full-screen ads or video ads that play by themselves.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email privacy@thedeenhub.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re not happy with how we handled your request, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept for 12 months. Comments stay until you ask us to remove them. Server logs are kept for as long as Bluehost keeps them under its own rules.
Children
The site is written for people aged 16 and over, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you’re under 16, please don’t use the contact form or leave comments.
If this changes
If we change this page, we’ll change the date at the top.
