About

I built TheDeenHub because I wanted learning about our faith to feel welcoming and straightforward. In the past, whenever I tried searching for basic Islamic guidance; like how to calculate zakat, the exact steps for wudu, or whether a mortgage is actually halal. I’d either get buried under a heavy academic lecture or stumble into a chaotic online debate. I wanted to create the comfortable middle ground I was always looking for. That’s what this platform is: quick, plain English answers with the actual proof from the Quran and Hadiths with sources. And if the major scholars have different views on a topic, I’ll lay them out in simply terms as well.

Where I’m coming from

Since I follow the Hanafi school of thought, that’s the main point of view you will find here. I know there isn’t always one easy answer. When the other schools of thoughts or modern scholars completely disagree on a topic, I’ll tell you. I’d rather just point out the differences of opinion instead of acting like everyone is on the exact same page.
I’m not a scholar and this isn’t a fatwa service. If you have a question about your own situation, please ask someone who knows you, such as your Imam or a Scholar you trust.

What’s on the site

Prayer, duas and the daily sunnah. Money: halal investing, Islamic banking, zakat and budgeting. Marriage, modesty and everyday do’s and don’ts. Stories of the prophets and the lessons in them. Everyday rulings explained, plus charity and the local mosque.

How the articles get made

I want to be completely transparent about how this site works, because when it comes to faith, accuracy is everything. I use AI to help write the initial drafts, but I personally review every single article before hitting publish. Most importantly, the AI never generates the Quran verses or Hadiths. I add those myself directly from verified texts, and you’ll always see a clear list of sources at the bottom of every page. The longer explanation is on the Editorial and AI Disclosure page.
